My shed took just over a month to build by myself and the occasional hold from my wife and nephew. I modified a few things from the original plans.
Made it 8’x12’ instead of 8×10′
Sheeted with7/16” OSB, Tyvek and Hardie Plank and positioned the door and window on the long side. I also painted the floor which made a huge difference. This shed is far too nice for tools, lawnmower and garden rakes and shovels. Ran underground electrical for lights and plugs.
My friends all think I should add a deck in front..I might do this. Thanks for everything.. The plans were perfect and with the added videos it went much easier.. I’m a serious DIY’er and have lots of great tools that also helped.

Hi J.
NICE JOB!! I know guys don’t like the word, but with the window planter, colours and very tidy gravel work and ties I have to say it has that element of cute. Very nice that you shared lots of picks since you went the full route of sheathing, wrap and Hardie Plank and venting – other viewers are sure to appreciate this!! White Rock? There is a good chance you are not far away from where we built the original shed in the videos – near 16th and 142nd (moved to Cariboo since then).
Sorry for the delay posting… we have been evacuated for the last 3 weeks up here in Williams Lake due to forest fires… Home now but it did cause delays and issues getting Internet access etc.
Thanks again for sharing your project and including all the extra images!
