Raised Garden

1

Rehabilitated an existing garden we inherited after buying our retirement home. The original garden had an electric wire fence but it was looking pretty tired.
Built the shed the year before using alternate plans but found your shed videos very helpful for tips, tricks. esp. soffit ladders, soffits and this sparked the garden project.
We used your plans for the raised garden beds as our soil here is poor glacial sand so the raised beds allowed better soil to be used. The plans/videos were straight forward and easy to follow. The ability to step up the boxes to match the slope and place gates where wanted is the best feature of the plans. We used a roll of deer fence for the fencing and may add a line of electric wire next spring. We have had both deer and bears wander through and had a deer trample down the electric fence this past summer so this structure should be much stronger. Total cost including lumber, hardware, fasteners : $3200 CAD plus $550 for top soil. Finished hanging the gates just before the first snowfall, all now spring ready. Thanks so much for your great tips, videos.
