My Summer Project

I used both the plans and video series to help me build this 8×10 shed in my backyard. I modified a few things and build it on a new concrete slab. I also added a small Window and some different trim ideas. I found the plans and especially the video series incredibly helpful. This was a really fun project even for someone like me who isn’t very handy. Thanks Henry!

I would highly recommend country life projects to anyone who wants to build a shed. Much nicer than those plastic ones.

  1. No troubles modifying the plans to suit a slab. I sunk some J bolts into the wet concrete so the shed is bolted down nice and sturdy. I also used pressure treated lumber for the sill plate and added some sill gasket. The walls overlap the walls of the raised slab to shed water (we get a lot of rain) and it’s been water tight.

Looks great Jon! Nice touch on the trim for the gable ends – looks good. Did you have any trouble modifying the plans to suit a concrete slab?
