Excellent plans and videos. Made the job much easier by taking a lot of the guess work out. Because of the increased span and snow loading for my area I went with 2" x 6" for the trusses. I had an existing concrete pad but I was not happy with the ground clearance at the front of the shed, so I built up a floor based on 2" x 4" PT, this also allowed me to get a little better leveling. I went with a sno-cobra ridge vent and installed four under eave vents per side for ventilation. I also went with PVC for the trim, although more expensive I feel it was worthwhile in the end as it is much easier to work with plus cedar selection in the sizes I would have needed was limited in my area. Total job took about 2 months working a few hours most days. Again the videos were key to making this job much easier as I have never built anything this extensive by myself before. Thanks Henry

Dave you did a great job! Love the attention to detail on the trim and around the door. See you added a ridge vent as well – everything looks straight, level and top notch!
Dave or Henry, I really like the size and structure of the 10 X 10, I have the plans for the 8 X 10 was there much to modify this, I plan on building one this coming spring, My location is Alaska and I will elevate off the ground using 4×4 set on concrete blocks. This will be my first shed other than High School but never the videos and plans are pretty detailed. I like the change of using 2×6 for the trusses to manage the snow loads we get in Alaska. Any other things I should consider? Thanks, Anthony

The email helps a lot and makes a great deal of sense, and even with the changes. The Material cost comes out less expensive than me purchasing a ready made kit or hiring someone to do it for me. Plus the satisfaction of building my own. Thanks,
