I had been looking to build a shed for a couple of years until I came across the Plans from Country Life Projects. The best plans on the internet today and the prettiest shed in the ‘cyberspace’. The plan drawings were first class and the cost sheets invaluable with which to estimate the cost.
Expanding the cost estimating sheets to a 12ft length instead of the 10ft was child’s play as was adding windows and a five foot double door. I found the videos to be very, very helpful (emphasis on very) and kept me in check doing things in the right order and not jumping to the finish. Prior to undertaking a section of the shed I would watch the applicable video and I found that to be extremely helpful. As a matter of speaking, I was working for Henry as an apprentice, and having the firm hand of a ‘Meister’ to guide me was invaluable. I am a 71 year old retired engineer and I enjoyed working for Henry on this project. Without him my shed could have ended up looking more like a Disney type playhouse with crooked walls and windows instead I can now consider myself an Experiencer DIY’er View Svend’s Shed…

The plans were easy to read, but the videos added countless tips to make assembly faster and easier. One of the best tips was about applying the siding material after you complete the tongue and groove sofit. Thanks so much for helping me get this project started. It was enjoyable and looks great. Loved the video tutorials! We have done many diy projects through the years, but really appreciated learning new techniques that we can continue to use in the future. View Eggnburger’s Shed…

I don’t know how many times I watched those videos but I picked up a lot of useful tips while building my shed and I had to make a jig of my own in order for me to work on the roof safely. Thanks for the videos, my work went smoothly. This is my first build and i”m so proud of what I’ve accomplished. Thanks Henry! View Josh’s Shed…

Videos were great. I purchased the plans after getting into the project for extra information. Everything was very well explained and laid out. Added double steel doors and a window for decorative look. Built a ramp out of composite wood to drive a riding lawn mower in and out. Would love to see a new video for a backyard gazebo (12’x12′). The price of the plans was super reasonable and the videos were extremely helpful. The numerous tricks and techniques alone were worth the price of admission. Thanks, Henry, for helping me to build such a fine structure. I like to tell admirers that it’s built better than my house, which it is! View Bill’s Shed…

Hi Henry, thanks for great design package (videos & layouts) which made it possible to build my Man-Cave. At age 71, I feel the need for ocasional peace-and-quiet away from family busy life. Also, as a retired aerospace engineer, I do appreciate your applied precision and related design details. I enjoyed building MySpace/ManCave by myself, Regards, View Cyrus’s Shed…

Thank you for your website/plans and videos. I feel that I did a better job with this helpful site. Also had a few questions and Mr.Reinders gave me the answers right away! My wife has to remind me that it’s “just a shed” but I know what joy this project has brought to me. Thank you! Craig View Craig’s Shed…

Mr. Reinders, your experience and techniques were very accurate and helpful. Without the videos I would have made colossal mistakes in the construction process. View Ron’s Shed…

I’m good with tools, but never worked on any ground-up framing projects. The country life videos were great in learning many useful tips and tricks. The plans were a great starting point, which I then modified to get the finished product. View Bryan’s Shed...

The videos were great. The video on setting the roof trusses was particularly helpful. My son and I put them up in little time. I had to build my own door due to planning issues but it came out ok. My wife had the idea for the window boxes and they have really added a nice finishing touch. Henry, you are a rock star! View Brian’s Shed…

As a building rookie, this project would not have been possible without the videos from Country Life Projects, and Henry’s instructions, they were clearly explained and we learned a lot about building. I am so thankful and impressed that he went to the trouble to put this together. We had considered buying the plans, but we believed our modifications were so much that the parts list would have been significantly different. However, if we ever build a shed, similar to the one in the video, we will definitely buy the plans, I’m sure things would go much smoother. Having completed this build, we look forward to another significant building project. Thank you Henry and Country Life Projects! View R. Elmers Project…

Excellent plans and videos. Made the job much easier by taking a lot of the guess work out. Because of the increased span and snow loading for my area I went with 2″ x 6″ for the trusses. I had an existing concrete pad but I was not happy with the ground clearance at the front of the shed, so I built up a floor based on 2″ x 4″ PT, this also allowed me to get a little better leveling. I went with a sno-cobra ridge vent and installed four under eave vents per side for ventilation. I also went with PVC for the trim, although more expensive I feel it was worthwhile in the end as it is much easier to work with plus cedar selection in the sizes I would have needed was limited in my area. Total job took about 2 months working a few hours most days. Again the videos were key to making this job much easier as I have never built anything this extensive by myself before. I had watched all the videos on YouTube and decided to build 10 x 10 shed by myself. These videos give me confidence that I can build it myself. After that I had order the Country Life Projects Shed Plans & eBook. I had modified the plan and added two windows for light and move the door on side instead of in the center. Overall I am very happy with what I had created. I would not able to make it without your help Henry. (And my wife helps) Thank you very much for the YouTube video and plan. I found your video on YouTube and built it using that as my guide….referring to it daily. Because of space limitations, with a small back yard I rotated it 90 degrees but kept the roof peak facing the front. It was a blast. Thanks for your help. Bob View Bob’s Shed…

Hello Country Life Projects, I want to convey my sincere appreciation for the many tips and tricks learned from purchasing your shed plans. I did make some “minor” changes to the design as my shed is 12’ x 14’ though I followed your plans closely and am truly amazed at the results. Not only did the final product exceed my expectations, I saved over 55% of what comparable sheds are sold for in my area…….reality is those retail sheds pale in quality as compared to your construction methods and proposed materials. Had a ball working with my dad to complete the project and wanted to thank you Henry for the guidance and confidence to complete!!! Have a great week!! I’m very happy I discovered Country Life on my search for shed ideas. The plans and videos took essentially all the guesswork out of the project. I really appreciated the breakup of the project into segments complete with material lists for each. The videos were just like having Henry with me on the project. I doubt if I would have thought of many of Henry’s tips myself and those tips were invaluable. Thanks Henry – the shed came out great. View Paul’s Shed…

After reviewing alternatives on the internet I chose this shed package. It gave me the fundementals to build on. I have built decks but this was my first wood shed. My thanks to Henry for his clear instructive videos and follow up helpful E Mails. It was built during the Summer of 2014 over a few week period. All supplies were transported using my van. I tried to buy only what I could use in a day or so. I did a lot by myself but an added hand made parts of the project go much easier. There were time gaps in construction but I would stop at what I would consider a safe stop point. A tarp is very helpful here. Basically, standard construction methods were used. There was no sign of problems even after a hard winter. I used some left over siding for a small 2 x 4 ft storage box which is well vented. I used 2 coats of quality paint which highlited the shed. I am more than happy with the results. Thanks to Henry and Bill for their help. View John’s Shed…
