Thank you from Country Life Projects! We appreciate everyone who has taken time to submit their project, watched our videos and/or have purchased our plans.

Using Henry’s plans as a basis, I built this deer proof garden enclosure on very steeply sloped land. This was quite the project, and due to the steep slope, I had to modify things almost every step of the way. The first stage was to till the hillside so that I could move dirt around. And of course there were rocks buried in the ground; lots of rocks. There was no way to get heavy equipment to the site, so everything had to be done by hand. This meant there was virtually no way to level the land completely. So…

Built from ground up on 4×6 skids, this 8×10 shed plans followed Country Life project plans and videos with few exceptions. Henry was with me every step of the way and his calm, professional demeanor carried over when the inevitable building challenges occurred.Project began in late December with long periods of inactivity due to weather, time and procrastination. Received help from sons ( floor), good friend Bill (for 2-man construction chores) and wife (painting) to accomplish completion in mid-March. Used T-111 for siding and added ridge vent to roof. Door is custom designed and built to provide more country charm.…

My grandson Jackson and I built this shed following the provided plans and videos made by Henry Reinders. We made some modifications (such as lowering the overall profile of the building) but generally followed the plans and the videos very closely. We started in August of 2020 but soon the fires (we live in Salem, Oregon) and then the weather caused the project to stall. Just recently we were able to paint and put finishing touches on the shed. I am very thankful for the guidance and would recommend the process to anyone who has at least some building skills.

10×12 shed built to match our house so we used cedar siding and a metal roof. We also had to build it on concrete blocks due to the slope of the land. I watched the videos multiple times. If you do that, take your time, plan, and purchase the plans you can do this too. I’ve learned so much from building this shed. It is built so much better than store bought sheds and looks great.

Backyard Shed: size adjusted to be 69 square feet because for 70 square feet (and above), the city wants to get involved. Floor dimensions are 111″ x 90″ and guided by your shed building videos to build it. Just recently retired me at work here, so took 6 months total build time. Two months of that time were due to near continuous rain in this area. Built the door instead of buying it. 8′ x 10′ x 6″ concrete slab that I mixed/poured. Entry ramp made of Three 2″x4″ pieces plus a 3/4″ plywood piece leftover from the floor wood.…

The floor in our 30+ year old shed was falling apart. It sat atop 4×4 skids on a thin bed of pea gravel but that was about it. Many new homes (McMansions) were built in our neighborhood since the old shed was built. With each new home the amount of storm water runoff through the rear of our yard increases until eventually the old shed was inundated – especially during the spring melt off. What to do? In March, 2021, I drew up a plan to raise the shed, install concrete piers and replace the floor. That plan was nixed…

10 x 16 Shed built by (grandma). Henry’s videos made it so easy. The only trouble I had was trying to figure out a way to get the plywood on the roof all by myself. I eventually came up with a plan to lean (two) 2x4x16s approximately 7ft. apart with my ladder in the middle, and simply slid the sheet up the 2x4s while climbing the ladder. And it worked beautifully!
